It is important to know that practitioners have a different relationship with the children than their parents/carers. Practitioners have to develop a bond with the children they look after many babies, but they should never come across as replacing their parents. Babies should be kept with the same carer everyday so they form a social relationship. This is why all the school have EYFS, because they require the schools to but in place a key person system. Practitioners and parents have one main thing in common thy both want what is best for the child. The things they do are not the same, but they are complementary. Partnerships between parents, practitioners and a child, is developing well, they will be able to respect each other and trust. Self-esteem and wellbeing are important to the people in partnership when they are working together. Parents may have had a bad experience at school, and when their child starts school all their past experience may come back to them. This will then make parents be anxious and feel bad about them. Also they may think the setting their child is going to may be the same as their setting and then they could fear for the child. There isn’t just one single way to have partnership with parents, there needs to be a lot of different ways that parents can access partnership, this is so they can find out the way that suits them. Some parents are busy with work so they will just drop their children off and pick them up quickly, this stops them from having a talk with the main supervisor of the child. 3. 4 Explain how effective mulit-agency working operates within early year’s provision and benefits children and carers.
